Ferric Chloride Liquid

Ferric Chloride Liquid, also known as Iron (III) Chloride solution, is an aqueous solution having Ferric Chloride (FeCl3) dissolved in water. It is a dark brown liquid with an acidic odor. It is highly soluble in water, forming a homogeneous solution. In the liquid state, Iron Trichloride remains in its ionic form, with the iron atom having a +3-oxidation state and three chloride ions (Cl-). It is available in 40% w/w (weight/volume concentration.

The percentage indicates the weight of iron trichloride in the solution compared to the total volume. Its specific gravity at 22-25 degree Celsius is 1.40.

Ferric Chloride Liquid Uses

It is used as effluent in the treatment of refineries, paper, textiles, and other chemical industries, desalination plants, water, and sewage treatment,

Etching printed circuit boards, inks, and pigments, pickling of stainless steel and high nickel alloys and in petrochemical industry-ETP treatment

PACKING

It is packed in 280/300 Kg HDPE barrel, 50 Kg. HDPE Jerry Cans and bulk in IBC Tanks.

UN number : 2582
Transport hazard class : 8(corrosive liquids)
Packaging group : III

The container choice depends on factors such as Iron (III) Chloride volume transportation requirements and compatibility with the chemical. These containers, like stainless steel and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), should be leakage and corrosion-resistant
